A very detailed account of the RNVR's frontline services during the 20th Century, with particular detail about its defences in London and the Thames Estuary. I grew up from around the corner of the RNVR Officers' Club, where my father was the Secretary during the 1950s. Met many RNVR stalwarts as a child. Although I have read most of the book so far, there seems to be no mention of the Hill Street club. Nevertheless HMS President is well-mentioned. There is no other comparable book at present,; from this book I gained a fuller picture of the RNVR's activities all over the world and London.
