I needed a mower for quite a large expanse of flat lawn and also a sloping area so anything with a cable was not going to work. My experiences with pull-cords have not been good so this seemed to be the answer, especially as I get older (65 plus) I am not disappointed - the mower is very easy to use, light enough for me to lift, battery easy to charge and insert and it does the job very well. The battery lasts just about long enough to cut all my grass - as long as I haven't allowed too much growth. Otherwise it dies just at the moment when I can stop for an hour and have a cup of tea whilst it recharges! A spare battery would be an answer to this and I will consider this in the long run. My only criticism is that the edges of the lawns still need to be strimmed (hence the 4 stars) - as I have edging stones the 'comb' device doesn't quite deal with them, but on the other hand that's being very fussy and I don't really need or want immaculate manicures around my grass!! All-in-all a really good buy and a confirmation of my previous experiences of Bosch devices which have never let me down.Read full review
Very pleased with the product, easy to set up, cuts well, easy to manoevure. The only downside is the battery. The first two cuts it did my front and back lawns (about 30-35 minutes non-stop cutting). On the third cut, the motor died when there was about a minute of cutting left to do. As the grass was short and dry on every occasion, the battery has to be losing its strength. It meant of course, wait almost one hour for the battery to fully charge again before completing the cut. Now, next time I use it, it will definitely require a charge mid-cut. Frustrating - and the only solution is to purchase a second battery which is ridiculously expensive.
What a difference to my mountfield mower. I thought it may lack the power of a petrol but 95% time its doesnt. Only time may notice is longer wet grass, which isn't advisable to mow but living in the lakedistrict cant be avoided sometimes! We have a decent size (approx 10m x 4m lawn and I can easily get 2-3 cuts from 1 charge so proving much cheaper than petrol to run. Extremely light and easy to manouver and most importantly give a great cut. Only grip is occasionaly the battery can disconnect (after a slight bang into edging) but that takes seconds to fix.

Only used twice, but so far so good. Only one battery but it gives my 45 minutes of mowing. My only criticism is that you have to grip the "on" button quite hard to keep engine running which is a bit tiring on my hand.

As I have had an surgery on my right shoulder, using a petrol mower was becoming a great problem. My neighbour has a battery lawn mower and he asked me to have a go, and I am glad I did. The mower is easy to start and does not take long to charge. It is ideal if you have not got a lot of grass to cut. The best thing that I have purchased. Also if the grass box fills up the mower will stop, so you know then you have to empty the box. Well worth the money!
