This battery is currently one of the highest "genuine capacity" of 18650 batteries on the market and contains a high quality Panasonic cell.

You may see other manufacturers stating higher figures of 4000mAh and 5300mAh are just making figures up which are totally fictitious and simply not possible with today's technology and are using tactics to trick the public and boost their sales as no such capacities are obtainable.

1. Buy a quality battery charger! - (something like the Xtar MP1, MP1S, WP2, WP2II, WP6II series these are all SAFE!....
   This will ensure safe charging of your batteries and proper termination preventing over charging and on some very poorly made chargers even fire. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
   It will also ensure you batteries are looked after and last you longer.
   
   
2. Do not leave your batteries sat on charge once charging has finished.....
   Quality chargers will stop charging when they reach 4.2v others do not and continue to apply current to the battery, so it is always a good idea to remove your batteries so no further charging happens, this will ensure they last a long time. (again buy a quality charger to achieve this!)
   
   
3. Do not drain your batteries too low - it will not do them any good....
   Squeezing that last bit of energy out of your batteries is not the best idea. Li-ion batteries are usually around 3.7v and as the charge in them drops so does the voltage, also as they are charged the voltage goes up (they are usually between 2.5v - 4.2v) they do not like to get too high a voltage or too low a voltage it damages the cells and anything outside of this scope can cause them to become unsafe, if using unprotected cells do not let them get below 2.5v, if you notice them seeming weak - charge them! for those few extra minutes use you could take months off the battery's life.
   
   
4. If your battery runs out of charge charge it! - do not leave it in uncharged for long..
   If Li-ion batteries are left uncharged for long periods the voltage in them becomes too low and it can be dangerous when charged again so if they run out of juice charge them or if you plan on storing them for long periods apply a storage charge (around 50% is good), if they have PCB (protection circuit) you may find if they get too low the PCB disables them as it renders them too low and unsafe to use again, they are then unable to be brought back to life.
   
   
5. Li-ion batteries are not like the 'old type' of batteries which needed to be fully charged then fully drained...
   It will make your battery last longer if you do not do this to the extreme, as Li-ion batteries have no memory effect and do not need to be used in this way. Li-ion batteries do not like to be charged too high or drained too low as this damages them, somewhere in the middle is good and it is totally fine to charge them if they become a little low, it will have no negative effect on the battery and is better than totally draining them.
