I did put a little grease on the thread just encase I wish to remove it in future from the metal tap as it feels the sort of item that will last a life time. Very pleased with this product with no leaks and recommend to all, so much so a friend also thought the same and also bought one who likes to wash their cars at home a lot!5* quality well engineered item that will last. Excellent fit for garden taps.
These Hozelock Pro Metal threaded tap connectors are exceptional quality. I use one for my outdoor garden tap and the other I carry as a spare for my motorhome, just in case I ever need one to connect to camp site water outlets that have no connectors. Because they're metal, they are sturdy and robust and should last for ages compared to the plastic type connectors. Great price for the pair.

Ok..so we're only talking about a tap connector nothing to get excited about but if you've ever been frustrated by a leaky cheap one then this is excellent. Obviously a well known brand and so will always cost more but it is worth it. The fitting is tight on the tap and doesn't leak. I removed the smaller fitting plastic adapter which can be used if you have a smaller tap. Perfect to use in conjunction with other Hozelock items. Better than the plastic fittings, these don’t crack or swell up and split over time. If they start to drip (usually after considerable use) you can simply change the “O” ring for a few pence.
