This is a nearly new Jon Kammerer Glitter Rose series, thin bodied, acoustic electric guitar, made in the USA. These guitars are made in Keokuk, Iowa. The serial number is 299 and the model number 6-25G. We won this guitar in a drawing last year at the Dallas Guitar Show. The guitar has a maple body and neck, and ebony fingerboard. The fret markers are mother of pearl, and the body inlay around the sound hole is abalone. The built-in pickup is L.R. Baggs, Element.
The following quote is on the hangtag still attached to the headstock: ‘This guitar is engineered unlike any other guitar on the market today. Every feature has been analyzed and redesigned where necessary to make this guitar one of the most comfortable that you will ever play.’ Perhaps more information about these models can be found at the jonkammererguitars website that is listed on the label, as seen in the close-up.
The original black finish on this guitar has some minor scuff marks, primarily on the back, (I guess from people trying it out as a demo at the guitar show). It features a Texas Lone Star motif behind the bridge. When we were asked if we would like to enter the drawing for this guitar and buy 5 tickets for $5, I replied, “If our Lord wants us to have this guitar, He can make it happen with one ticket.’ I gave the $5, but to make our point, would only accept one ticket. A couple of hours later, our number was drawn as the winner.
It’s too bad that we have never really played the guitar, especially since someone could have been using and enjoying it. We are primarily vintage guitar dealers, and therefore tend to shy away from newer models. I understand these guitars were fairly pricey, but we are starting the auction at only $99 with no reserve, so whoever is the highest bidder on Saturday night, wins this guitar. The auction is only running this week, for 5 days. This fine guitar comes in a Gator case, as seen in the last picture. Enjoy bidding!
