This is a 1980 Alembic Series II BASS, Stanley Clark Style
I purchased this Bass from a boutique Bass dealer (BUNNY BASS) in 2001 and has been in my collection ever sense. I really love this Bass, It plays like a dream and of course the series II electronics give you a world of sound options.
Comes with the original blue alembic case, power supply, and multi-pin cord.
Neck and frets are in great shape, all knobs and electronics are fine and good working order. There is some very light pitting on the machine heads gold plating. It also has the side LED's all in prefect working condition.
Bass is in excellent condition as you can see from the pics, and again plays like a dream. I have it set up with very light strings and the action is set very low. This was for piccolo style use.
The wood is Bocate flat sawn Zebra wood I've been told, with original finish. It has some typical vintage crackling in the lacquer over all of the bass, you can see it slightly on the back of the neck pic. It doesn't show up in allot of the other pics, But I like it allot ! It gives the bass a cool great vibe and typical of many vintage instruments.
I have only used this as a Studio Bass (always in stereo) and as such always ran it on the Alembic power supply with absolute perfect operation.
I bought this from Bunny Bass back in 2001and was told it is a 1980, I can not make out the serial number on the bottom of the fret board. The electronics are 1979 stamped as in the pics. Anyway thats about it an incredible instrument that Im sure anyone will love,
I really hate to let this Bass go, it is special, but I'm thinning the heard so a few pieces have to go.

The finish has the laquar crackle / lines all over typical of vintage instruments, looks incredible very classical and antique-ish but overall good condition. This should be in a museum !
