This is the first time I have used this type of brake bleeding kit and so was not sure as how good it would be especially because of the low price. At first there was a lot of air leaking into the bleed pipe from the brake nipple, then I realised I hadn't used the nipple adaptor. The only downside was having to keep checking that the brake reservoir was topped up all the time. However the kit did the job just fine.

While the gun itself created a vacuum, the rest of the kit is absolutely useless. The idea is to create suction and draw the fluid out and collect in the cup. However, the cup is NOT sealed so it doesnt create any suction through thr other end, you're basically sucking in air from the cup lid. Needs a complete redesign.

Wish I had found one of these years ago. I could not bleed the rear brake on my harley no matter what I tried. I used this tool to drain the system down in seconds and then used the little suction cup supplied to trace the brake lines back to the master cylinder. The fault was found in minutes and after replacing the master cylinder, i then set about bleeding the system again. From empty to full brake pedal took 17 seconds. Brilliant. A job I hate doing sorted in just a few minutes start to finish. Clean and effective and easy to dispose of old fluid in a safe and environmentally friendly way thanks to the collector pot in the line.

In the past I have had to back fill a lot of motorcycle brakes with a syringe which can get very messy, especially the rears where the reservoir is in a convenient rather than practical place or if the cylinder has to push the fluid up, this apparatus makes the job a great deal easier, just fill the reservoir, connect to the bleed nipple and draw the fluid through the system, just make sure the fluid goes into the catcher bottle and not into the brass pump as outlined in the instructions.

It's a good device to enable single handed bleeding of hydraulic brake systems. Solidly built from brass and steel. For classic car owners it can also apply vacuum to test the vacuum advance on your distributor. My main gripe is not with the device itself, but on vehicles done so far, air bubbles can still be seen in the fluid pipe which are actually getting into the pipe at the bleed nipple itself and confusing the issue. As the bleed nipple is loose for bleeding, air is sucked by the vacuum produced by the bleed pump past the outside of the nipple and then into the pipe. I still prefer to use a second person to bleed brakes but if no one else is available then this is a good product to do it yourself alone.
