      Recommended but not straight fit for Picanto

      Bought to replace the tailgate microswitch on my 2014 Picanto where the covering rubber had rotted away. Cheaper alternative to OE Kia part where you have to buy the whole handle at £80 plus. Fits and works well. Looks good quality but time will tell. However, it is not a straight fit for the Picanto as the connecting plug is different to the one on the car. The two wires will need to be spliced to the wires from the connector block on the car - red to red and green to black. Unfortunately you can't just depin them because the pins are also different. The wires will need to be crimped or soldered for a secure connection. I soldered mine but if I did it again I would crimp another connector block in place and join them that way to allow for easier replacement if required in the future.
