I have replaced the festoon lamps on my sailing boat. Conservation of electricity is important. The lamps give off a good amount of light and take a fraction of the power of the original bulbs . Take note these LED's are polarity sensitive. I found out the hard way when I placed one the wrong way. Apparently no harm done.

I have purchased 16 of this LED Festoon Bulb to replace all 15 of the 12v 20W festoon bulbs used for the cabin lighting in my boat, as I live on my boat I need to be careful on how much power i am drawing from my 125Ahr 12v batters. I tested all the new LED bulbs I received and @ 12.7v all the bulbs drew 73.5 mA +-0.5 = 0.933 Watts. All had a good uniform colour; due to the low cost of this LED bulb it has not got an internal diode bridge so it is polarity sensitive! This is not a problem if the bulb is not working just take it out and turn it around? Very good value for money.

the fitting as a wee bit bigger than the old element bulbs but at weak with flat blade screwdriver sorted this ...(make sure the power's off to the light or take the fuse out before you blow it ) It gives that cold white light rather than the warm-feel light of the old bulb version

Fits perfectly in my Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo 2014. Bright, fills the car beautifully no faults. Time will tell how long they last. No issues so far

Nice bright leds But be aware that there are different sizes to 'festoon' bulbs. From 36 mm for the older cars then there is the 39 mm type up to this 42 mm type and then the "Can-bus" type with and inbuilt load that if it's not found can make your car go into the fault mode! These Bulbs are 16 LED and are 42mm long & 14mm wide Non Can-Bus, I sold two moments after putting one on display both came back for different reasons, First one didn't fit, and the second had an un-soldered end cap possibly due to the customers handling of it. Like putting in the wrong way round first then getting it out and back in again, replacement made him happy! And I didn't even intend to sell them as purchased for a particular project!
