Details of this bike as above, has the usual dings and dents as expected for a bike this age. Obviously you bid to buy and bike needs to be collected the weekend following the end of the auction. It could if needed be delivered at a cost, as long as money was up front. As with any vehicle on Ebay I would recommend viewing before bidding, and due to 'unwelcome' interest of this type of motorcycle I would meet any viewers in a local supermarket rather than my home. I would ride the bike there as it's fully road legal, including the tyres (half worn). This bike has been used for trail riding and local Hare and Hounds meetings so I'm not telling the usual porkies about it never being raced (although I'm not very fast). My friend bought this new (he's well over 50) and I bought the 450 at the same time. I then injured myself big time and wanted something smaller and he wanted a 450 so we done a straight swap in June 2008. I didn't then do any H&H until 2010 when I thought my leg was strong enough and this bike has been amazing, never thought I could love a 2 stroke as I mainly ride classic British machinery. The previous owner looked after this bike very well and has a reputation for this. Since I've owned it I've changed the piston twice (last time in Feb) and the bore looks as new, it also had new clutch plates in Feb as it was starting to drag. It's had one set of fork seals, a couple of wheel bearings, a couple of gearbox oil changes, a few spark plugs, a couple of air filters, and steering bearings last Autumn. All the plastics is original so obviously scratched up a bit, still on original graphics and these are damaged a bit hence a few additional stickers just to cover them. All original manuals still in the folder, as are the keys for the steering. I've been offered £1800 trade in by a couple of shops so guessing it's worth slightly more, the reason I didn't take it up was simply that I didn't like the bikes I was looking at. Please feel free to ask any questions, and I can email you full res photos if needed so you can see the detail more. Payment would be £100 by Paypal and the rest cash on collection. I can be contacted on 07723 630547. Thanks for looking. One additional note: I have the MOT's from October 2008 until the present. The mileage was 1662 then so you can get some idea of the usage since then, including 2 long weekends trail riding in Normandy. |
