Heartbreaking but so powerful
Absolutely amazing what this child/woman went through. I have brought this book 3times to give to others, some whom have gone through bad times & I know it will help them. This is such a harrowing story, I think the author is amazing.

This book is outstanding . I couldn’t put it down, ever opportunity I had I would be reading it. The book opened my eyes and I felt it was a true representation off people experiencing the same issue . It really opened my eyes and taught me a lot. I have brought two for friends . Emotionally fantastic
This is my favourite book ever. I was bought this book as a present and loaned it out a few times and then it never came back. Hence buying it myself. The emotional path you are taken through is amazing. One minute you're laughing the next your crying and then you become so angry. This girls live was a rollercoaster. You can actually visualise and hear her, the words really ring in your ears. I can equate to part of her story and it's like I'm with during parts of it. It's truly amazing how she survived and became the person she did. So much respect for her.

An amazing, astonishing story of an individual who endured so much heartache & pain, yet she survived......showing the world dreams can come true. There are a select few books that come along with so much genuine heart displayed within their pages, you cannot help but become engrossed, wiping away tears as such heartache is unimaginable!!! A Piece Of Cake by Cupcake Brown is a MUST READ. This novel is a memoir detailing the troubled life of Ms. Brown on her road to redemption and salvation, despite a childhood rife with drugs, gang violence, sexual and physical abuse, and being shipped from one horrible foster parent to another. You cannot help as you read this amazing story, continually flipping to the inside back dust jacket to gaze at the author's picture and bio....jaw dropping. Surely, this beautifully poised, intelligent, proud lawyer that was depicted couldn't be the same Cupcake Brown that I was reading about. The imagery in the book left me speechless, and after the big "behind the dumpster" scene, my heart ached for her. I shed tears, yet their was this triumphant cheer as she took control of her life. This will be a memoir that I will never forget - a story of how one woman triumphed above all of her circumstances and came out on top. Such bravery from a young age is unheard of. Thankyou Cupcake Brown for having the strength to tell your story....uplifting & inspiring for all those who are lost through some kind of hardship. This was definitely my favourite, a novel I will certainly read again.Read full review

Best book ive ever read
This is the 2nd time ive bought this because I leant my first copy out to everyone and its abit worn. So captivating. Shes such an amazing story teller its a hard book to put down and one you don't want to end. Although she's gone through so so much, her humour is just amazing :) would strongly recommend to anyone
