An intersting book for anyone wishing to find out more about wartime airfields. My father served in Raf during WW2 and was shot down whilst flying with 460 Squadron. i was interested to read comments made about the Australians at Binbrook, especially the conversations recorded about the state of gun turrets after raids. My dad was an airgunner, and I couldn't imagine what it must have been like flying for hours in a gun turret. Now I can realise how dreadful it must have been. Recommend to anyone who had a father serving in war time Britain, who wants to experience what they wouldn't talk about.
