This re-TURN of Alison Moyet is rather an all round affair. This new studio album of self written songs is like a christmas gift. There are the kinds of songs that sound like each one might have come from each of the albums she has made throughout her musical career. Of different genre and style, the album seems to have been crafted for each type of Moyet fan...something for everyone. Such beauty's as 'The Man In The Wings', which could have been written by Cole Porter himself to the confident rock tune 'Henry'. There are also the 3 songs from the stage play 'Smaller'. 'World Without End' is such a meloncholy thoughtful ode to a mother lost. 'Hollow' is something new...with a surprisingly passionate vocal. Overall the album has a feel good vibe and I would recommend it highly. Don't miss this gem.Read full review
Alison Moyet at her very best! What else!! This CD is a must in everyone's music collection! I have always liked Alison Moyet but this CD is the Best I have listened to yet!
if you like Moyets voice you will like this album. Although at times she is a little held back, for want of another expression. She is up to her excellent standard in voice but most of the tracks are a little slow. Overall I enjoyed it. It was certainly I felt a change in her normal style.
Great to hear Alison back to her best with this album. Can't wait to see her at Brighton with Vince Clarke again
