I used the stapler to re- upholster my dinning room chairs. It did the job without any major problems. The only negative comments I have are that one of the spring clips that keeps the tool together was luckily lying loose in the blister pack so I was eventually able to put it on again. Also I nipped the skin on my hand twice when operating the stapler because my hand was keep slipping forward as there is no gripping material on the handle etc.

I used this for a (what was meant to be) quick upholstery job. I replaced the webbing under the seats of my sofa, unfortunately the stapler broke before it could even finish the job! The striking mechanism kept jamming and the handle kept pinching my palm. This was replaced by a Stanley heavy duty stapler from Screwfix, this ate the job up, didn't pinch and drove the staples through a much tougher section of the sofa than the pine frame that the Amtech stapler had to deal with (and failed). All in, the title says it all; it's cheap, but you will get what you pay for. It will fall way below expectation unless your expectations are to drive less than 500 staples into a cork board. Please, I speak from experience when I say this, don't bother with this product!

Recommend wearing gloves when using as it has tendency to pinch your hand when squeezing stapler. Stapler often mid- fired so had to purchase more staples to finish my re-upholstery job. Ideal for a small project but recommend a powered stapler for someone expecting to do lots of projects.
