So far, these mics sound great. I've used them as drum room mics in a blumlien where they performed incredibly. Add a little compression and listen to them shine! They also sound great on the guitar cab. Out of the pair, one mic needed some attention right out of the box. However, after tightening the case screws, it performed as well as the other. Over all, nice sounding mics. They are darker, like a ribbon should be, but have a clarity as well. And, being active, I don't worry about frying them with phantom power as they require it.

Almost didn’t buy because of a few reviews. I have 3 ribbon mics ranging in price from $300 to just under $1000. This mic performs equally as good- I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a ribbon mic for studio work - it’s legit.

This is the best mic I have seen for recording violin. It has a lot of depth and is very clean. You can’t tell weather you are playing it or listening to the recording.

Natural sounding Affordable Only 3 downsides is xlr cable tends to get stuck in mic and shockmount is too tight of a fit. Must be handle with extreme care It is affordable enough that should I damage it it isnt too much to replace
