Performance is very good, but as with most graphic cards, energy hungry! The fan can also be a bit noisy. The card runs smooth and produces an excellent picture on my 55" Samsung tv, with no artifax when watching high definition bluray movies. My preference is for HDMI connectors only as I rarely have any need for any other types and therefore wish that there was at least on other HDMI connector fitted. I build small factor PCs such as shuttles and the fact that the card takes up two slots is a problem and it would also be goog if video cards redoced in size again. However, I am sure that when the chip manufacturers get the energy requirements down the size of the card will reduce and so will the need for a noisy fan.
An excellent card that runs smoothly. Easy to install and set up. I run most games on high/extreme graphics settings with no frame rate hit on many games(Dependant of game). An example it runs Shogun 2 with DX11 content on high without hassle.
Very competent low-midrange gaming card, or a luxury card for a HTPC that needs to act as a games console sometimes, which is what I used it for. The problem is the cooler on this particular model - it's very basic and can't keep up with the heat coming from the chip. The fan gets very loud and it's still in danger of overheating. Also the fan durability is poor (on the unit I got anyway), ends up rattling and buzzing. I ended up buying a replacement cooler - a Gelid Icy Vision which is amazing - keeps it very cool AND very quiet, and still just about fits in the HTPC case! But that meant spending £30-odd more than I was expecting to of course.
So I bought this card to upgrade from my old one. Well worth the money! Great card, just make sure your computer can handle it!
