This is a big board and only just went into my tower case. It runs an AMD880G chipset which has the convenience of on-board video. I'm not a gamer so it's more than fast enough for me. Unusually, it has 3 PCI slots which I need for a second sound card, a double serial port card and a wireless network card. There's and on-board serial port which is very handy: I can't have enough serial ports! USB to serial adapters are a bit variable and tend to create quite a bit of radio frequency noise, so I avoid them. There are two switches on the board: one to configure memory (I didn't need it, it worked perfectly without it. The other is a core unlocker, which did the trick with my Sempron 140. All in all, a great board. I got it as a bare item for a very good price. My son was sufficiently impressed that he bought another one for himself.Read full review
