I purchased this board to complement my 3rd gen quad-core 3.4 gb i5 processor. It is an excellent board overall, with plenty of expansion capability. I can't think of any obvious cons. As for the pros, I would list them as: expansion capacity, multiple GPU support, loads of USB3 ports, 4 RAM slots and a very user-friendly BIOS interface. I highly recommend it.
