Hi, here i have for sale an amazing 2003 '53' reg Audi A2 1.4 TDI SE Colour Storm which is finished in a stunning and very rare special edition Audi RS colour of Pearlescent Sprint Blue with matching Black/Sprint Blue interior.
This is a fabulous, top of the range and very rare high spec car in mint condition that has a genuine average mileage of 99,000 which is absolutely nothing for one of these brilliant Audi TDI's. You would genuinely think it is 12 months old and had done 12,000 miles by the way it looks and drives.
Being such an eye catching example it was Huntingdon Audi's own demonstration vehicle for the first nearly 2 years of it's life before being sold to it's first private keeper on 24-07-2005.
It has been maintained regardless of cost having been on a longlife servicing program, meaning it has only ever had the best fully synthetic oil used. It was last serviced on 11-07-2011 at 98,604 miles when new front brake discs and pads were also fitted.
On 19-09-2009 at 79,497 miles the previous full service was carried out along with the cambelt, tensioner and water pump. At the same time it also had an air conditioning service, brake fluid service, 4 wheel alignment, rear brakes stripped and cleaned and the shoes replaced and finally the anti roll bar (including bushes and clamps) were also all replaced (receipt included for £901-27 spent by it's meticulous previous owner). The car therefore needs absolutely nothing spending on it for the foreseeable future as it is perfect, just drive and enjoy.
These cars share Audi's renowned build quality and reliability yet are also amazingly economical to run with road tax costing just £30 per year. They also do an average of 65 mpg with 80 mpg being attainable on smooth motorway driving.
They are very desirable and hold their value extremely well, in fact low mileage diesel models (which are becoming very rare) are actually starting to appreciate in value.
The amazingly lively 1.4 turbo diesel engines really are built to last with many having now covered well in excess of 150,000 miles. I have been told by an Audi mechanic that if well maintained these diesel engines are easily good for 300,000 miles and aren't even run in until about 100,000 which i've found to be true having driven higher mileage examples that have loosened up and drive wonderfully.
Being all alluminium bodied, with alluminium and composite body panels there will never be any issues of rust to worry about either.
The standard spec of the A2 is typical Audi and includes; power steering, ABS, ASC Traction Control, electric one touch front windows, electric mirrors, alloy wheels, remote central locking, alarm and immobiliser, 2 front cup holders, child safety locks, motor assisted 'soft touch' boot opening, front and side airbags, front and rear head restraints, height adjustable driver and passenger front seats, split folding rear seats and adjustable steering wheel with rake and reach adjustments, etc, etc.
Being the more desirable SE model this car also comes with the leather steering wheel, gearstick and hand brake lever, illuminated sun visors (passenger and drivers) and front fog lights.
Additionally this car has had some very nice extra cost options fitted from new, these include the special order RS Pearlescent Sprint Blue paintwork, special edition Colour Storm package with black roof, mirrors and body mouldings, upgraded Colour Storm two tone matching black/blue seats, dark tinted windows, Electric windows all round (front and rear), Double din dash with the fantastic top of the range Symphony radio and in-dash front loading 6 CD player, factory Sports suspension and 17" 9 spoke RS sports alloy wheel upgrade (ordered and fitted from new), Tracker anti-theft tracking device (for which a subscription would need to be paid to re-activate if you so wished), Digital Climate Control/Air Conditioning, sliding rear boot cover, lower hidden boot compartment with sliding false floor cover, front centre storage tray, front seat rear storage nets, locking wheel nuts and original genuine Audi carpet floor mats.
What the above means in real terms is that you get all the benefits of the Sport model (ie razor sharp handling and good looks) with all the benefits of the SE model (ie more luxury, fog lights and lack of stripey interior).
The alloy wheels as mentioned are the upgraded 17" RS4 design that look lovely with just the odd minor mark to the edges of the rims that aren't really noticeable and to be expected as they are original having never been refurbished. The tyres are all very good top quality Michelin Pilot's fitted all round.
(I also have an original set of these wheels in unmarked satin matt black that match the black roof, mirrors, arches and body mouldings of the Colour Storm perfectly. These would make the car look absolutely stunning and could be fitted instead of the silver wheels if you preferred).
Inside the boot is the original unused first aid kit and tool kit which is complete with the air compressor to check and inflate the tyres and the locking wheel nut key.
Externally the car is in pretty much mint condition and as good as you could ever hope to get. The original Sprint Blue paintwork looks stunning and shines amazingly like a new car with absolutely no annoying supermarket style dings, dents, scuffs or visible scratches.
The interior is also spotlessly clean and in immaculate condition. The seats are unmarked with no wear and are very comfortable and sporty looking being finished in black and blue matching check cloth with very practical black carpets, door panels and dash and with light grey roof lining making it feel light and airy.
The inside of an A2 is very deceptive and surprisingly large seating four adults in comfort due partly to the rear footwells cleverly being some 4" lower than at the front. This enables six footers to sit in the rear without feeling cramped. The rear seats also cleverly fold down then lift forward to create an extremely large and useful cargo space that would easily fit a washing machine etc. From this position the seats can easily be unclicked and completely removed creating a vast space as large as any estate car!
Mechanically the car is absolutely perfect and totally without fault. It drives like new feeling tight and unworn.
I love these cars and if you haven't driven one they are simply brilliant being nippy, comfortable and easy to park and would happily sit at 80 or 90mph all day long on the motorway (if such speeds were permitted) whilst still returning excellent mpg. They are extremely torquey making them brilliant on the motorway with the ability to overtake quickly and safely without having to change gear. They are very modern feeling, highly practical cars that were way ahead of their time and in my opinion should still be available to buy new today.
The car is also MOT'd and taxed (which is almost a pleasure to pay when it comes around at just £30 per year) and has never carried any pets, had any accidents or insurance claims and is fully hpi clear.
Itcomes with both remote locking keys (plus the plastic identification tag), all the owners manuals/ books etc in the original Audi wallet, previous MOT certificate's and the V5.
This is rare high spec turbo diesel depreciation free car. It has the lowest available running costs of any car but without compromising on quality and safety and will sell to the first person to see it.
It could make the perfect economical and fun day to day car if you happen to own a matching Sprint Blue RS4 or RS6 and would save you a small fortune in running costs???
This is probably as good looking an A2 as you could ever get.
It is a totally standard car that has not been messed with, just really well looked after and is a car that you would be very proud to own and a definite keeper.
I doubt you would get an A2 of this age in better condition as it is truly immaculate and i would have thought the best example available for sale anywhere.
It is priced at £5,395 ono which reflects its high specification and condition and when you see it will agree is worth every penny if not more.
As you are probably aware unfortunately Audi stopped producing the A2 in 2005 due to their high production cost being Alluminium so are becoming very hard to find and are getting ever rarer in this condition.
If you would like to view the car or have any questions, please feel free to email or call me on 07779 642851, but please no time wasters.
As mentioned above i also have an additional set of genuine Audi RS4 A2 17" Sport alloy wheels that i have just had professionally refinished in Satin Matt Black to an almost brand new standard including the matching original centre caps. I have mocked up a photo to give you an idea of how they would look on the car. If these are not to your taste i also have an original set of 16" SE alloy wheels that have just been fully professionally refinished in silver, again to an as new standard that could be fitted to the car for a standard SE look if you prefer.
Please note i am happy to put 12 months MOT and Tax on the car for the new owner for your peace of mind as these are due to expire in December.
Thanks for looking.
