decent punch for the price. makes a decent small mark which is enough to drill alone but benefits from a second to third shot to get a more accentuated position. The initial mark being slight enables easier relocation if needed, so far i've been ok and been able to continue with what I have. Only drawback can be a 'misfire' on occasion when the punch fails to fire, I've not yet gone into the gadget to sort out the issue as it's fairly rare and a quick reset and repeat normally works things out. good value for money, TA.

The problem is with the first two words "heavy duty" .....this implied to me it would give something a good thump and a decent indent.....no! (not like the one that is replacing) But I suppose you get what you pay for, nicely made from brass it works. It would be ok for fine work with mild steel where a second punch used with a hammer can complete the job once the surface had been accurately marked, or with brass where a deep indent is not required. I was a little underwhelmed by this tool

always useful to centre punch non-brittle work before drilling. Makes the drill run accurately when drilling. Essential little tool for any kit

Have used manual punches before but this one was so easy , and no hammer required . Excellent quality . Don't know how long the tip will last as this seems the weakest point ( excuse the pun) of the system . Too Fine a tip possibly ? Does the job at present .

A good value tool at about £2. The springs appear to work adequately. Time will tell whether the punch tip wears well.
