I bought this game as part of my Avatar: The Last Airbender nostalgic phase. Although I haven't played the first game made for Book 1, Avatar The Legend of Aang (European name, while it's called The Last Airbender elsewhere), I decided to try the second one because I considered the fact that the graphics/gameplay may be better as it was a later game. Also, I liked the cover art of The Burning Earth better. The game itself is fairly straight forward. It follows the storyline of Book 2 for the most part, but ends at the drill. The player is in control of one or two characters at any one time, with the ability to switch between characters when there are two. Following the single storyline makes the game simple, as there is no scope for choosing the path to take. There are a few mini games which either aid the progression of the story or are just for fun, but these are very simple. The game did not take long to complete, but I thought that the length was fine. If it was longer, it may have felt like the game was dragging on, but I do regret that the game did not progress futher into the story of Book 2. However, it did fuel my nostalgia and I am glad I bought it.Read full review
