This alarm was purchased to replace an Aico optical smoke alarm which was frequently giving false alarms as it was close to the kitchen area of an open plan flat. This one has a smoke and a heat sensor which work together and so far has proved to eliminate 'toast' alarms.

Used to link in with another earlier model Aico alarm (which this model is the replacement of). Wiring very straightforward if a bit fiddly due to placement of connector block. The base has multiple fixing points which is helpful if replacing a different brand of unit to allow old mounting holes to be used and save drilling further ones. Recommended
