In 1973, 4 New Yorkers started the most influential Rock band of all time. KISS have gone on to mega star status and broken sales and stadium sell out records all over the world.Once playing in front of 250,000 people in Rio De Janeiro. This album is the first of their 4 Alive albums and was recorded in 1975. It contains their most famous early tracks. All KISS concerts explode into life with a classic track and this one gets going with 'Deuce', then leads into 'Strutter', one of their most famous songs. The album is a masterpiece of the oldest KISS material, some of which has been forgotten as the years progressed. The 12 minute 100,000 years, shows them at their best and the finale of THE ROCK ANTHEM, 'Rock and Roll All Nite' and the less well known 'Let Me Go Rock And Roll'leave you wanting more. In total there are 16 powerful KISS songs. If you can, buy this and all the other KISS Alive albums for pieces of musical poetry. I have reviewed KISS Alive II elsewhere and can only say, that it is better than this, and this is perfection. ALIVE II was performed in 1977. ALIVE III was released in the 1990's and features classic KISS tracks from over 20 years. In 2003, KISS played a 30th Anniversary show in Melbourne at the Telstra Dome with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. KISS ALIVE IV, or KISS SYMPHONY is a unique and beautiful piece of work. I really think that these are 4 albums you must own. Many rock bands in the last 20 years, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Rammstein for example have supported KISS and that has helped them on the road to stardom. KISS truly are the masters of Rock music. They are true legends and their music will live forever. KISS is more than music, as Paul Stanley says, "KISS is a family".Read full review
Hot out of the studio, Kiss set out to be one of the first groups to record a hot, rocking live album, capturing the sound they made best. Even before Peter Frampton had set out to record his masterpiece "Frampton Comes Alive!", Kiss had made this titanic achievment. With the original line-up in place, and songs that come to life after listening to their droning studio counter-parts, such as "Let Me Go, Rock N' Roll", "She" and "Black Diamond" it was easy to see why this album had brought the spotlight on Kiss. With only one single extracted from this album, the now ever-popular "Rock N' Roll All Nite", Kiss were on track to record their most cultivating studio album to date "Destroyer" Alive! set the foundation though, and without this, it's pretty obvious that Kiss may not have gotten noticed. Whilst some people assume that it was originally the uproar that Paul, Peter, Gene and Ace had caused which brought them to the spotlight, they usually wouldn't have heard this masterpiece. Even to this date, this music stands out, up against great live albums such as The Who's "Live at Leeds" and Peter Framptons album as mentioned earlier. If you're into Glam Rock, Rock or even for that matter, Live music, this is one to check out. Don't put this group down, until you heard this. LimbuzzardRead full review

Conte. When Kiss released the double album ALIVE in 1975, the purpose was to capture the spark and energy of their electrifying live shows. Although the spectacular lighting, Gene Simmons' blood-spitting and Ace Frehley's smoke-emitting guitar went unseen, the thunderous power with which Kiss performed every night came across easily.Recorded during a 1975 tour, ALIVE may not have matched FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE in sales, but it put Kiss on the map in the eyes of the music-buying public. Songs such as "Deuce" and "Cold Gin" became staples for hard-core fans and "Rock and Roll All Nite" became an anthem for everyone else. Chock full of solid rock & roll hooks that pack a consistent punch, ALIVE established Ace Frehley as a certified guitar god. Not unlike the Velvet Underground, who've been credited with inspiring legions of fans to go out and start their own bands, Frehley was equally as influential to another generation. His fretwork on songs such as "Parasite" and "Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll" went just as far in getting thousands of adolescents to go out and pick up guitars.
