This is an excellent live Rush cd, some classic songs on it. I recommend it to all Rush fans.

If you ever wondered what it sounded like to hear RUSH in concert in 1976 then this album takes you there. A selection from the late 90s "The Rush Remasters" series that also includes the bonus track "What You're Doing" not found on the original CD.

This is a 70s live concert capturing the band in front of their own Canadian audience. Whilst no doubt edited it runs as single concert from start to finish. The sound quality is good, but not up to their later exceptional standards. The set list is however very strong and captures well the bands initial appeal as Led Zeppelin wannabes who evolved into the kings of the concept album, just before they broke into shorter radio play and hit singles country. All of this makes it essential stuff for the rush fan, or indeed anyone who loves a live rock album, however for the majority any number of their studio albums such as: 2112, Hemispheres, A Farwell to Kings, Moving Pictures or the recent and excellent Snakes and Arrows would be a better buy. In fact if you want a live album Exit Stage Left recorded a couple of years later has an more easily accessible set list and slightly better sound and "Rio" is longer has a set list from a 30 year career and a bonkers audience.Read full review
I bought this out of nostalgia - glad I did. Memories all came back and I remembered what it was I loved so much about the band. Vocals are out of this world - as is everything else. If you like Rush at any stage of their career, this is a MUST.
