It is easy to use, so simple if I can use them anyone can. Button at bottom to switch on, if you stop turning pages or its activity is stopped after a while, it turns itself off (should you fall asleep reading, you wont lose your page) In the middle along the bottom facing you is what looks like a little speaker, it is actually the home button, and takes you to the home page. I would recommend buying this one as many of the newer designs, you have to pay extra to have the adds taken off. (it saying special, it means them keep sending adds and recommendations to you Ereader). That is why I chose to buy this model as it is before the ad's era.

This Kindle Touch works fine, but it does not have all the features advertised - specifically, it does not have 3G, unlocked or otherwise. Not a deal breaker, but not what I paid for.

I have found the Kindle 3G a pleasure to use, simple control interface with clear onscreen instructions for people of all sight capabilities. I'm very much interested in the audio book feature as my eyesight is not as good as it was and therefore my stamina to read text in a book becomes hard work, especially at night, ( no more waking in the early hours to a book clonking to the floor, or getting all crumpled whilste slipping off to sleep!) Using the 3G to download books has never been simpler , the human interface is clear and consise , the text easily discernible and the terms used easily understood. The construction of the Kindle 3G is excellent especially the lovely clear screen with anti glare is very useful when sitting in the garden or on the beach as it enables me to still perceive the text even in bright light. All in all an extremely useful piece of kit!Read full review
I bought this for my girlfriend at Christmas and immediately wondered if I bought he right one for her. As this is not a uk model and the fact that amazon don't have 3G set up in the uk yet, I began to wonder whether I should have stuck to the uk models. My reservations were so dismissed when I read in a forum how to access the book store in the uk using 3G. The Kindle Touch is so easy to use, easy to surf the net with and is very easy on the eyes making it a great way to read books. Purchasing books is so so simple. It has great features on it, 3G being just one of them. Another is txt to speech, and although it's still a very monotone voice still is a great feature especially if you plug in a set of speakers and listen whilst doing something else. Overall it's a fantastic kindle, a good purchase and would recommend it.Read full review
I bought one for my Technophobe mother-in-law. Being over seventy with severe arthritis in her hands and bad eye sight, seemed like the perfect gift as you just have to slighty touch to turn page, and the font changes are easy to do. Lots of free books to chose from and easy to download. My wife didn't think she'd like this as she reads quite a lot and likes to feel the book, but she enjoyed setting it up so much, and test reading it I had to buy her one. She also used to get annoyed at me for "breaking" her books by bending them, which is now impossible. Now my seven year old wants one as he too enjoys reading it. My child is seven and this is a brilliant tool for them as it has a dictionary, where you touch the word in your book and it explains the meaning. So they can read it independently. You can buy pretty much books on anything. The 3g is fast and reliable. So they can download a new book from anywhere and read it. The only down sides are the occasional pop-ups of adverts. You can get rid of them with the touch of a button. But it is sometimes quite irritating and that my wife is left with lots of books that she will need to replace on kindle before she will part with them.Read full review
