Excellent book, really funny but also gives information about the places visited. Loved it! I bought it because I used to live in Egypt and someone had recorded the episode where he visited Cairo and I've watched it so many times. The book is great, you can just imagine Karl talking as you read it. I should imagine it's unique - no-one else could match Karl's drollness or stupidity :)
This book is full of Carl's adventures, his wit and funny little quirks that he has, he describes the people he's met. There's lots of pictures and full of information regarding the countries and the people he has seen. A well written book, it's just as funny as the programme, if not more. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves carl and his adventures.
Karl Pilkington Adventurer, Philosopher and Knob head If you have enjoyed the An idiot abroad series then this book is a must. The book has great colour photos and is writen in diary form. Over 275 pages of great reading.
Make sure you read this when you're on your own! Otherwise you'll embarass yourself giggling and grinning infront of strangers,as I did! The perfect read to lift your spirits,Karls view on life will keep you captured all the way through. A hard book to put down! A+++++++++
You would need to have watched the series, televised on Sky 1, to really appreciate the style of humour. Wonderfully written.
