Over all this specification will be more than enough powerful for the average joe blog wanting to use a cool macbook pro, for everyday use and a little editing hear and there :) I find when you really push this laptop the i5 processor struggles, luckily i dont do very intense stuff like heavy editing or transfering 500gb plus files etc, for that i would recommend to go for the i7. The feel is quality, nothing of the competition comes close, thats including Asus/Samsung. The retina display will BLOW you away trust me, every other screen now looks dull :( A very big let down is the memmory cannot be upgraded. The hard drive is limited to 128gb flash but atleast that can be upgreded. 8 GB of memmory is still ok for general use. Unlike pc laptop this baby does not heat up, no fan noise and is silent like a mouse, battery life is awesome. Over all a very well put together machine and if you use parralel 8 you can run windows 8, which runs better on mac :) This machine will cost £1400 from Apple, thanks to Ebay i purchased it for £1200 inc next day delivery factory sealed!Read full review
The 13-inch laptop remains the closest humankind has come to the perfect computing product. It's big enough to work on all day, but small enough to carry around on a regular basis. With the proliferation of Windows-based ultrabooks, and the success of Apple's own MacBook Air, the original 13-inch Pro model felt dated, even bloated. This modern-feeling refresh carefully skirts the line between power and portability, which may be an even more important feature in the end than the vaunted retina display.
I had been trying to decide whether to stay with PCs or swap to Mac. I decided to try the move with a laptop. This product is brilliant, I wish I had swapped years ago. The quality is better, the battery life is better, the performance is equally good ( I had an ultrbook before) and the screen is in a totally different league. I had to review a document the other day and had both versions side by side on the screen. It was small but totally readable. It would be unthinkable on my old ultra book. I can totally recommend this product. Some software I use is not available on the Mac, but I've found was round it, so not a problem.
