The new iPad 4th generation has a much quicker response and the retina display is beautiful. I have replaced a 1st generation iPad and the difference is very noticeable. I love it. Face Time or Skype lets me talk to my family in a much more user friendly and portable way. It doesn't replace my laptop but I wouldn't live without it.
