What can I say about the iPhone 3G that not been written many many times before? Nothing except do not write this phone off as "out of date" or "out of stye" visually the phone is identical to the 3GS which is still out there and purchased by many people right out or under contract will all the major networks. So why did I buy it? I don't really know is the real answer, it had been on my mind to buy a 3G or 3GS to try out the iPhone as my contracts where due to finish and my girlfriend wanted to try the iPhone after using (quite happily I must add) Android phones for a few years. Herein lies the "what the heck did I buy it for" part as I had already opted for and taken delivery of a brace of iPhone 4s ' but curiosity got the better of me after hearing people saying that the 4/4s where ohhh so lightening fast compared to the old 3/3s...hmmm they are faster if you put them side by side but we are talking mere seconds not minutes and bare in mind I am comparing the oh so mighty 4GS to a basic 3G. It's still a great phone, if it wasn't it would be costing £15-£30 like the rest of the phones from the same timeframe. They still command good money for a reason, there still a bloody good phone! ****UNLOCKING - DO IT THE RIGHT WAY**** My final comment is this.... If you buy an iPhone locked to O2 as most of them are don't go down to raj's phones to get it jail broken for £10-20. Instead get a free O2 sim card or 99p or so on eBay take note of the long number written on the sim card , put £15 credit on it and then go to the O2 website click on the help guru or accept the pop up offering to connect you to a technician and ask them to unlock your phone they will ask for the sim card number and your grans age and inside leg measurement and in 3-5 days you will get a text from them saying your phone has been prepared for unlocking put in another sim card and connect to iTunes. This way your phone is truly unlocked you can use iTunes even upgrade the operating system without fear of locking the phone back to O2 or even locking it completely, and when you come to resell it you can honestly say its unlocked by O2.Read full review

i love it see my sons so wanted one for my self its so easy to use my husbands now got one and will tell all my friends its a good phone i love it
There ought to be a category 'Condition' for the mobile, it turns out, came to me with several hair-line cracks which have now grown considerably and so the phone will have to be replaced again! in the next 6 months Also, it can be very hard to hear sometimes even with the volume on full Aside from that - brilliant Thankyou
Absolutly love it, ive wanted one since they come out, but could not afford it, it is so much easier to use than i thought, Apple are 1st class.
