Hello, If you want to revive those 90's cartoons, no need to watch them on TV, with all the other modern junk. I shearched long time for the Timon and Pumbaa episodes, both online and in stores. I really wanted to keep the episodes for the future, for me and for my family, so they can watch these great toons, full with educational messages and good old humor, unlike today's. There are three or four dvd releases with several episodes from the series. Although the full collection never saw daylight release, you can still buy a few classic episodes. (if the full set comes up, please let me know) There are also VHS releases, but very few episodes on a tape (or just one, I can't recal). You can find information on wikipedia, although it doesn't refer too much on the DVDs. Good quality, with postal-card like menus, and many languages to choose. Best regards and luck with your purchases, Gabriel (gp*91)Read full review

Not long after Dinsey's greatest animated film The Lion King came out, plans for a spin-off series started. Of course, it had to be about the film's favorite comedic duo, Timon and Pumbaa! This series brings back alot of memories for me. I remember getting the video of the first six episodes and enjoying it many times. I loved many Disney spin-off series that were featured on a saturday morning (the good old days). Sadly this show wasn't aired for long on the main five channels we had when I was a kid. They were later moved to the Disney channel and we didn't have acess to it. I only ever saw the first series. The animation is not as stunning as the movie it relates to. The style and movement is that of a more cartoony nature that suits the storylines and comedy. There are (like most 90's cartoons) mistakes like vanishing outfits and wrong coloured parts. But not enough to distract you from what is going on. The music and sound is good. The voices are good and fitting of the characters. I watched this DVD on my laptop and was wearing headphones. It's pretty good on larger TV's with big speakers too. The Hakuna Matata theme at the opening and closing credits is great. Also on every video/DVD volume there is a song performed by the duo (is a parody version of a real song). The plot and storyline to each episode is about average with every other 90's cartoon series to be honest. Some stereotypes may pop-up here and there, but nothing offensive or too boring. You are bound to get a laugh from each episode though. Some Lion King fans have said that its odd that Timon and Pumbaa are aware of and own material items they can't get in their natural habitat. Another thing is humans appearing and understanding what the wacky duo say. This is pretty much a series that is non-cannon to the movie. The features on this DVD is not all that great. Just a scene selection menu and language settings. No extra content like a behind the scenes or extra clips. If you just want to re-experience the series in a much better quality, you should get this DVD. If you are new to this show and want to see what it's like, then I reccomend you watch it, but you may be dissapointed with lack of extras. Overal Score: Looks/animation: 9/10 Sound: 9/10 Entertainment: 8/10 Extras: 2/10 Lastibility: 9/10 (you may find yourself watching this over and over again) Overall: 37/50 DVDs of this show are a little hard to come by as are the tapes, but if you do see them (especially of this volume) then be sure to buy it. It's good fun and will bring back some good memories for Lion King fans. I also reccomend it to be shown to kids of today's generation. Good fun and much better than some of the trashy kids shows they have on TV these days. Good for collectors, fans and young kids. Good stuff all round! I hope this review was helpful. Hakuna Matata!Read full review
