Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best-selling in Audio/MIDI Interfaces
I resisted going to ProTools for many years. Didn't believe in it - and did not want to be stuck with their hardware. After upgrading to Focusrite RedNet converters I searched far and wide for the best interface. My old DAW was not (completely) compatible so I was pushed to ProTools. I was extremely happy with the way things worked out. 1. The card was super easy to install. No fuss. My PT plugins etc. were unaffected. A couple had trouble with PT and required reinstallig. 2. The latency on this thing is unbelievable. After some calculations - a basic VI drum kit controlled by an electronic kit will provide sound feedback to a drummer FASTER than it takes the sound waves off an acoustic kit to reach the ears. Now no one can complain. 3. Super easy to integrate with Focusrite RedNet (via RedNet 5 converters). 4. Sounds amazing. Using 96k 32bit float. Once I equalized levels with my analogue summing amp (SSL Sigma) I was very pleased with the performance of the card digitally. I still like the analogue summing though, it rounds out the top end and makes mixes much deeper. Basically - install and this thing is a rock. Very pleased. That said - don't pay $8k for this thing. There are plenty out there for $3k-$4k. I know that still an exorbitant amount of money but if you can scratch it together you will sleep well at night. The only issues will be musician performance . . . . Read full review

It would be nice if this fairly expensive card could be used outside of the Pro Tools environment. It is really a spectacular piece of engineering when used in a Pro Tools HD session, powering hundreds of processes effortlessly. I have an acid-test session with 400+ plug-ins and 5 layers deep submixing with 175 voices that reports a system delay of less than 3ms. 💪🏽

Thank you for the great deal. Everything was as described, NEW. Going to make some happy music. Alto is my go to in my music needs. The HDX card is a more complex than previous Protools systems. A bit of a learning curve.

It works. It lightens the load on my CPU. You do need a full length PCIe enclosure, the regular ones are too short to work.
