I thought i'm saving money, instead i just wasted almost 4quid and got pretty upset. One would never think there are so many things that can go wrong with such simple tool. I was working with Shimano IG chain. Sheared thread, brackets for chain support wrong shape (chain sliding and bending) The push-pin bending like made from ***. Perhaps it might be used with better results on a different type of chain but given the very very poor materials it's made of, I have some serious doubts that it can be successfully used for anything else but a paper-weight

Sadly, this piece of equipment snapped on first use. The pin was loose and the whole thing was of poor quality

Not fit for purpose, the pin bent after removing one rivet and it has the softest threads I've ever encountered. I've never seen a tool disintegrate so quickly.

After just 1 use the threads on the link pin extractor stripped. I've usually never had a problem with Silverline given they are cheap tools, but this failed straight away. Ive been breaking chains for 45 years... i'll buy a better 1 this time.
