Covers all MSS52 ECUs from BMW E39 M5 (S62B50), MSS54/MSS54HP ECUs from the BMW E46 M3 and Z3 M (S54B32) and MSS50, MSS50.1 from the E36 M3 Evo in manual and SMG and Z3M with the S50B32. if the EWS module is removed or is faulty, for the starter to work, pin 1&2 need to be connected in the EWS 3 module loom, pin 1&3 need to be connected in the EWS 2 module loom and pin 7&8 need to be connected in the EWS 3D module loom.
