This is Boo at his best, in my opinion - on his own with an acoustic guitar. There are some tasteful additions of female backing vocals, sublime lead guitar and a soupcon of strings but this is an album of demos mostly done at his local recording studio so they are kind of raw but no less polished in performance - an absolute gem. I'm really glad he released this as it gives a different perspective on these songs - I'm guessing he chose the title (which is also the title of one of the songs) because these settings are more open, honest and intimate.
