These are working great so far. Appears to be slightly lower quality than OEM and does not have any marking as to which side is cylinder side. Pay attention when you remove the old coils as to which side the wire is coming out of the coil and try to match up the new one that way. These will not work if positioned backwards. 2 new coils solved my lack of idle, low power, popping and stuttering. The price for 2 is less that one OEM Briggs so it is definately worth a shot.

this is all most a drop in replacement. the coil i got seems OK-- but its spark plug wire is VERY short and would not fit my engine even though it is supposed to be a direct replacement. . since the grass was growing like mad , there was not enough time to send the coil back and order some other brand-- i was able to jury rig this one and get the grass cut. not easy or fun at all--lol more trouble than it was worth IMHO. -- if you have a rather large briggs engine i suggest getting something else as the wire will be just short enough to cause all kinds of problems. had the ignition wire been one inch longer it would have been fine. --

Same issues as noted by others; ignition terminal is on wrong side for direct replacement. This required me to cut cable ties to gain as much wire length as possible to reach the spade terminal. Still a stretch. Sparkplug cable too short. This caused the cable routing to take a direct path to the plug, in contact with the hot cylinder head. The cable has little heat resistance and melts to the core easily, allowing the spark to short out. The cable also has no potting for strain relief where it enters the coil. No rubber boot on the spark plug cable. The picture is accurate in the listing, but i failed to notice beforehand. No markings on the coil to indicate which side mounts up. This coil worked for me, until the plug wire melted through, and grounded out. It would not fire after that. In short this is a cheaply manufactured unit that may (or may not) work for you. I will look for an OEM coil now. I will gladly pay more for a single quality unit, rather than pay a little for several of these and still not be mowing.Read full review

well...coil produces very weak spark and the kill connector was on the wrong side of the unit so...my wire didn't reach and I had to extend the wire. Mower still won't start, possibly because spark isn't hot enough to ignite the gas vapors. OEM spark plug boot doesn't fit on this wire because of the right angle connector. This would have been a good value if it worked for me out of the box. My model engine was one of the ones listed as supported by the part.

It came quickly and solved my hot stalling issue, I gapped them with a paint chip sample card from the hardware store, I had no business cards on hand, it worked perfectly. The plug wires were a bit long for my application, so I would have preferred an option to cut them to fit and the crimp on the connectors, but not everyone may be comfortable doing that...
