This is a British built BSA vintage classic bike in original condition from the 1920's or possibly earlier?
I have left the bike as is for an enthusiast to restore to its true glory, this bike would be an amazing project and look truly stylish, or just paint up and use for displaying plants in the garden?
Listed as for restoration, the bike is in original order but has suffered the ravages of time and corrosion, so shot blasting or paint over the rust, the bike is from pretty solid steel, as are the wheels and mudguards
Wheels are 26 inch imperial, both are rusty but not destroyed although the tyres are perished, but the bike is from pretty solid steel and has the makings of a great project
The rear hub is a special one from BSA- drum brake and a sliding cog cluster to use as a dérailleur without the rear mechanism, very unusual and I haven't seen one of these for many years.
funky original swan neck handlebar stem, original seat post, rubber Dunlop saddle
Its that time of year for us to clear stock, as we just don't have time to restore this one, does need a good clean and repainting
You will need tyres and tubes, got these in stock if you want them, and can most likely get you rims for the wheels,
the bike has been stored for quite a while but would make a great winter project ready to roll out in the spring maybe
A truly stylish English classic town bike project
All bikes are offered for sale in our Wellington shop as well as being listed on eBay
With all our bikes we try to give an accurate and fair description, and list defects where possible, but please let us know if there is a problem, as we cannot always list every scratch on the bikes, but please feel free to ask any questions regarding their condition.
With older bikes and pre-owned bikes, there will almost always be scratches on the paintwork, this is not detrimental to their use as a cycle, and all the bikes will have been pre-owned by someone else with varying amounts of use.
Bikes traded back are generally fine but do show signs of cosmetic wear and tear, seats may be scuffed/ripped slightly, paintwork will always have a few chips and scratches and there will be some surface rust showing on odd bolts on the bike.
We try to give an accurate description at all times, but cosmetically the bikes listed may not be pretty enough for a special birthday present, certainly not without a very good clean and spruce up, but the bikes will all work fine and generally represent a good value for money bike
