New BT Homesafe
BT Homesafe is a 24 hour home security and protection system which uses your broadband connection to alert you to potential emergencies - wherever you are.
Wireless sensors around your home link to BT Homesafe's Internet monitoring and reporting service, so you won't have to worry if you remembered to set the alarm.
If the system is triggered, you'll be the first to know - the system will automatically send alerts by landline phone, text message and email to you and your nominated contacts if there are any problems.
Real-time response - get security alerts to yourself and up to 6 nominated contacts by landline phone, text message or email (call charges apply)*
Personal protection - the portable panic alarm function sends alerts to neighbours at the push of a button
Remote monitoring with CCTV - view your home's CCTV footage live from any Internet connection (CCTV cameras sold separately)
Easy installation - wireless sensors mean no messy wiring - and all components are ready for immediate use**, so you don't need to be an electrician or a DIY expert to fit it yourself
Remote access - set or reset your alarm system online or by text message
Self maintaining - BT Homesafe automatically monitors itself and will alert you if there is a power failure or one of the sensor's batteries gets low. It will also let you know if your broadband is disconnected and use your telephone line to continue working
This is your basic alarm system - including the alarm itself, the sensors and the devices for setting and un-setting it.
The alarm itself emits a loud siren to deter intruders and alert your neighbours to look (from a safe distance) to see if there any signs of a break-in - and if there are, call the police. The sensors, positioned in key locations around your home will trigger the alarm when they detect an intruder. The alarm panel allows you to set and unset the alarms and the key fob can be used to set or re-set the alarm remotely.
