I bought this item so that I could have a true answering machine with my own OGM and the possibility to hear (and therefore filter) incoming messages as they are being recorded. For that purpose the phone is ok, does the job. BUT although one can't exactly say that anything on the description of the item is untrue, some ot its features aren't quite as expected or are actually faulty. For example, the recording quality of the OGM is dreadful, making it difficult to give a professional or engaging impression to callers. The ringtones offered are all ludicrously eccentric (none standard or harmonious), the display sometimes switches itself off with no possibility of using the menu options though the line is working, and the date&time setting doesn't hold (regularly resets itself to January 1st). It is a cheap phone of very cheap quality... I would rather have had less features, but ones that worked properly and of satisfactory quality. It is the first time I ever bought an item directly from the manufacturers on ebay, and the first time that I am disappointed with my purchase.Read full review
Excellent clear phone without any background buzz. Ring tones are a bit exotic. Hands free and answering facility are good. Information provided when you play messages in perhaps a bit OTT but better too much info than too little? Flashing light showing there are messages could be a bit bigger - easy to miss that you have messages if daytime light. Overall i am very happy with this purchase which was quick and easy to set up. Neat size.
The facilty to populate the address book using a sim card attracted me. The remaining functions were less user friendly than a BT easicom 1000 phone I bought about 12 years ago' The easicom did not have the answerphone facilty but my 18 year old BT response 150 answerphone was far better as an answerphone. On top of that disapointment the Handset was faulty and required an immediate phone replacement. I do regret the purchase.
I bought this unit based solely upon its description of the range of functions - namely corded, answer-phone, caller display and various other bits and pieces, because (after three expensive experiments) I had given up on cordless phones as an utter waste of money. However, after a couple of months of use, there is nothing about this new phone that I 'love' at all. It is so old-fashioned, so dated in every respect that I now despise it and am back now looking for a cordless set up that will actually work as described, AND will NOT cost a small fortune, AND will last more than 2 years!!! Some hopes !!!!!!
Should be a premium product and almost is; pleasantly design, feels well made, bright led screen. Its possible to add your mobile phone numbers from your SIM card. The address book function is basic but functional. Until we get to the ringtones - a section of 15 each more jangling than the last. If you have other phones that ring at the same time its more tolerable
