A truly honest insight into how a cruel disease affects a family and friends. Some parts made me laugh and I could identify with a lot of Fiona's childhood and growing up. My parents are Welsh too. There are sad parts too. Fiona is frank about her feelings and how she has been affected at work and home. She talks about the great pain she suffered in making the decision to take a step back and focus on her family. She is an inspiration. I'm at the beginning of coming to terms with a family member being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Fiona's book has helped me. I've even started to write down my feelings, it helps.
