Although the Black Sabbath albums from the Gillan-era onwards have not sold very well, they are well worth a listen as there are some great songs on them. This mark II reunion album is one of the heaviest Sabbath albums and includes a song that gets heard for all of 5 seconds in one of the Waynes world films!
A return to form for this lineup. Dio, Iommi Butler and Appice show that they still have it, 10 years after Heaven and Hell. A bit darker and more 'old Sabbath' than Heaven and Hell, this album is still a masterpiece.
As an album its alright, it sounds more like ozzy's black sabbeth, as opposed to the Heavcen and Hell album which is all DIO. I got the feeling they were trying to compete with KING OZZY, and that shouldn't be done. DIO is the GRANDMASTER of epic, mythalogical, power vocal face melters and that what he should stick to. It is a fairly good album, just dont get that excited about it. BUY HEAVEN AND HELL BUY HEAVEN AND HELL BUY HEAVEN AND HELL BUY HEAVEN AND HELL
