Good and easy to use, the one slightly minus point is that the cutter length stop could be a little tighter, because if you use too much pressure against it there is a possibility it will move slightly thus altering the length of cut.

We bought some new blinds and couldn't find the cutter we already had so I found the cheapest one on ebay, assuming they were all the same. This one seemed more cheaply made than our previous one, and I had to remove the screws and adjust the guide as we were only trimming 1cm off. After that it didn't chomp very well, but it was possible to cut successfully with a bit of care, and ultimately did the job perfectly well with great results. However, I am not sure how long it will last. Maybe if you had a dozen blinds to do you should buy 2 just in case.

This blind cutter does a reasonable job, but note the following: As supplied, the end-stop cannot be moved to sit flush against the base. There is a small washer underneath which needs to be filed down so it is thin enough to fit under the end-stop screw-clamp beneath the base. Having done this, the minimum cut-off (using the end stop) is about 18mm. You can cut off less than 18mm, but that must be done by eye, or by measuring and marking each slat. Also note that the process of cutting the blind to reduce the width is very time-consuming. On my blind (160 cm drop) there were 68 slats, so that's 136 individual cuts (the cutter will not cut more than one slat at a time). Plus, using a junior hacksaw to cut off the ends of the aluminium top and bottom rails is a very tricky business (much more difficult than cutting the slats). The whole affair took me about 2.5 hours ... so it might be wiser (certainly easier) to buy a made-to-measure blind instead.Read full review

It looked very flimsy but did the job really well. Do not trying trimming small amounts of the end of the slats though, i found that the minimum width it would trim was roughly 15mm or so. It would however trim more than one in one go

It's clear when you open the wrapper that this is a cheap product but then it was actually cheap. The cutting mechanism worried me - not smooth at all so it felt like it might make a mess of cuts. In practice I was cutting down a Dunelm aluminium blind and it worked just fine with clean cuts and rounded corners.
