I bought this to replace an aged and defunct shredder. This is much better quality than it predecessor. I probably won't use the CD/DVD shredding facility, but otherwise it's perfect for my needs, and well priced.

I used it for 15 minutes gradually feeding in maximum half the recommended load. In this 15 minutes I wasn't using it continuously. It ended up jamming, so I reversed and it jammed solid. I spent about an hour trying to scrape out the jam, then the next three hours completely dismantling it down to it's components. Inside the cogs and grinder aren't bad. But if you buy one, don't put in more than three sheets at a time, and wait until it's stopped in between. If I'd have known, I'd probably have just bought the cheapest one on eBay and done one sheet at a time. By the way, this one says 12 sheets at a time, but I say not a chance! It struggles on 6. I imagine every other 'heavy duty' shredder is of the same standard to be honest, unless you buy one over £200.

I purchased this shredder to replace a shops own brand that stripped a cog and packed up did plenty of research on whats available and for the money this one looked about the best so far it has worked extremely well and everything is shredded into small pieces all paper and credit cards go into the same bin but cd's and dvd's go into a small separate bin fixed on the inside of the main bin why i have no idea but it is very good quality and i am very pleased with it

You'll no problems with anyone reading the contents of this shredder, shreds up to six sheets of A4 paper into confetti size pieces. Saves space as you can destroy up to five times of paper can be stored in the basket.
