Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best-selling in Flaring Tools
Having watched many videos on U Tube about brake pipe flaring tools, I decided to buy this tool rather than the Anvil Type tool as many of them are considered cheap Chinese tools. This type can be used on the vehicle if necessary which has certain advantages. Having practiced with the tool on some brake pipe, I first noticed the screw threads seemed stiff and a bit coarse as if they had not been cleaned after being cut. So it was necessary to clean the threads up before they would screw up cleanly. Hence my quality rating. It must be said the tool worked much better after the cleaning and lubricating session . I compared it with a similar tool from a relative who is a first class mechanic, so he buys tools of a more professional standard. The comparing of the 2 similar tools was interesting. The bought tool was on a par with the professional one. How it would perform in the day to day work of a professional garage is another matter. However for the enthusiastic DIY car owner doing the occasional brake pipe repairs for the MOT, it should be satisfactory.Read full review

Holds pipe well, tool ensures flare is square and well made, not had a failure yet. Much better than the cheap saddle type which are difficult to get right and failures common. The small size allows pipes to be flared on the car.

I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to do an in-situ flare. I bought this tool to join some brake pipes under a complicated car, I already have an expensive flaring tool that goes in the vice that works on any pipe, but can’t use it in-situ, I have also tried the cheap g-glamp style ones to join under the car which do work on copper pipe but never seem to work on steel. However this neat compact in-situ tool worked great on my steel pipes and you can fit in quite small gaps, very pleased and would recommend it to anyone

Virtually foolproof , simple , as good a results as bench mounted turret type former. Far superior to 2 bar multi die type. And does not gouge outside of copper nickel pipe!

Very nice quality, the main body of the tool is a fine investment casting, the plugs are well machined and nicely finished, the instructions are in plain English. using the tool is very easy, it grips the pipe well without rough jaw marks seen on some cheaper tools. overall either on the bench or under the car this is a nice quality tool that should last.
