I think this is the best tool ever when it comes to laying bricks or blocks! Very easy to use with a professional look. I use my for building a cinder block four foot wall onto exiting brick wall. Made my job a lot easier, especially with leveling. Thanks so much!

Why is this not METAL?? Scratches, bends, breaks if dropped of small wall, make it metal please....plastic is no good for this.. Good idea for making a perfect bed but come on their is no way any old Tom Dick or Harry can build a wall with this, with it being plastic it seems to bend & flex with the Suns heat mine was not straight had a right bend in it so the beds followed the bend in it.. Use less unless mega pressure was applied as for buttering joints lol that tool is way to hard to use & once again lots of pressure to stick the bed but falls off 70% of the time. With it being plastic it straches with the gobo. Only good for bog stranded brick too. Will only lay 1 way so in a corner you can't make the bed to the end as the trough gets in the way. Can't lay curves as its too long. Good idea but it's never going to make a unskilled DIYer build a wall bbq or extension. You'll end up with a leaning in even wall.Read full review

Building an extension on the existing extension, but this time thought we might save some money by re-using the existing bricks and doing all the work myself! So dug a hole, filled it, but then came the brickying bit and this is something I have not done before! Looked online and this seemed like the best tool to buy. ...it is, and as you can see from the photo I am a few rows up now. I may not be fast but the finish looks good as though it has been done professionally, so I am happy to continue. I did not get the 4 black aligning pegs in my kit and did not know about them until watching the dvd. They would have helped but usable without them. Great kit for 1st time user, and even though I am trying to match the thickness of the cement to existing I have found this is possible too, making cement taller by more than the normal level, or slimming if needed too. Brick line holders, and pointing tool really good ideas too. Thanks.Read full review

I researched this product thoroughly before deciding to buy it as there were quite a few negative views (mostly from professional bricklayers) coupled with many positive views (mostly from "amateur" bricklayers). I have laid a few bricks over the years but would never consider myself a professional by any standard. The walls I built stayed up but didn't look particularly pretty (mostly garden walls)! This Bricky Tool - in my opinion - is fantastic and is extraordinarily helpful in building consistent sized mortar beds. It is still important to get the first bed laid perfectly level - which is not normally possible using the bricky tool - unless the foundations are absolutely level (which is rare), but after that it is a wheeze to use. One professional remarked that he didn't feel the bed would adhere well to the brick as there was no initial "furrowing" in the bed. I did not find a problem with that at all. All my bricks laid using this tool have remained firmly bedded-in. The perp jointer is a little fiddly to use but it is worth persevering with. The tool hasn't speeded up my brick-laying skills but it definitely has improved the quality. Highly recommended!Read full review

It’s a great product but looks like isnas per the UK standards. I used it in Australia with a brick width of 90 and found it a bit difficult to use as it has been designed for a brick size of 110mm. Had to make my own minor adjustments by adding a couple of wooden pieces.
