If you're an avid fan of the London RT type, then this is a treat for you, as about 90% of this DVD is devoted to that subject, not just a part of it as suggested. However much of that footage, mostly outtakes of British Transport Films, has been previously aired. The chapters on Routemasters in action, and buses in provincial locations are no more than cursory glimpses, which give the viewer no insight or information whatsoever. That on Modern buses, just flits over the subject in about 10 seconds. Not being a great fan of London's buses I was disappointed that the huge coverage of RT overhauls predominated, and of the scarcity of the coverage of provincial buses, which I was most looking forward to. I think I paid £5.99 for my copy, and in my honest opinion, it is worth no more than that amount.Read full review
To be honest, the title is extremely misleading. There is fantastic coverage of the overhaul process of London Transport's RT/RTL class of buses. This shows all steps, from the bus arriving at Works, stripping out the seats, marking faults etc etc, through to the bus being repainted and put back on the road. But there is not much coverage of other buses
