This CD contains all the best know Decca hits by the Stargazers, from 1950, to 1959. The sound quality is good, the only problem is track 3. Track 3 is supposed to be "Happy Wanderer", but, instead, it is "I Love Love Love It", & on this track, the sound is only in the left hand channel. In spite of this though, it is a good compilation, & great value.

I like everything about this CD..not only has the expert and correct imformation on the STARGAZERS...it also has a lovely photo of the group...this cd has obviously been very well researched. How the British public loved to sit back in their big comfy sofa's and tune their big bulky bakelite wireless and await for that famous theme song to invite them to a 1/2 hour of musical magic, THE STARGAZERS ARE ON THE AIR. This CD features a fair smattering of their hits, plus a few flip-sides and the odd album track...it is fun, fun, fun from the word go and it never ever let's up, we have their most well known number "I SEE THE MOON" with its comedy vocal slant this tune is worth the price of the CD alone as far as l am concerned, Cliff Adams brings his songsters to the mike to serenade us with hit after charming hit, tunes that the STARGAZERS made their very own. "THE HAPPY WANDERER" "TWENTY TINY FINGERS" "CLOSE THE DOOR" "LOOK AT THAT GIRL" "KNEE'S UP PAT HIM ON THE BO-BO" and many, many more...this CD is fairly easy to obtain on ebay and it cost's not much more than a fiver as a rule...£5 for countless hour's of fond memories, fun and top class vocal harmony...search for it...buy it...wait for it...play it..it is like being back in 1955 playing with your Roy Rogers cap pistol all over again. Obviously you can see that l adored (and still do) the Stargazers when l was a little boy back in 1954/55 and this CD has brought back so many, many wonderful memories of far more innocent times. l can not recommend this CD highly enough...it is pure nostalgia of the very highest quality...as soon as the opening bars of the first track start to play you are whisked right back to the early/mid 1950S. Treat yourself to a musical time machine and be prepared for many lovely visit's to times long gone...You might not want to come back. PROSE THE MEMORY MAN.Read full review
