For your consideration is a beautiful and near-mint Carvin California Double-Cut DC6 4A Bookmatched Quilted Maple carved top electric guitar with an included SKB hardshell case* that fits the guitar well.
This guitar features the upgraded Deep Antique Brown Quilt finish on both the top and the headstock.
The guitar is a conservative 9 out of 10 condition with only light scuffs and scratches evident upon very close inspection.
Playability is effortless with incredible action up and down the fretboard.
Tuning is very stable with the Locking Sperzels.
The tone is rich and harmonic with the C22J and C22B humbuckers with the push/pull tone control doubling as a coil splitter.
This one is a player(one of the smoothest electric guitars we've ever seen) and is unbelievably comfortable both sitting and standing(weight is 7 lbs 14 oz.).
It is going to make someone very happy!!!

* the SKB hardshell case is in good cosmetic and excellent functional condition with all latches working smoothly. The straps inside the case have separated so the case top does not sit upright when opened  but only comes all the way open into a laying position. One side of the handle has been attached via the metal wire as seen in pic.

Carvin is excited to debut our latest Custom Shop masterpiece, the DC6 Double-Cut California Carved Top. The DC6 combines the classic syling of our 80's era DC160, in a carved top design in the tradition of our acclaimed CT6 and CS6 carved top models. The DC6 has ergonomic and tone enhancing design as found in our other solid-body carved top models, with a classic design sure to appeal to guitarists in all genres of music. Despite its styling, the DC6 is not merely another take on a classic idea. It's a superior quality, USA-made instrument that's loaded with features usually only found on guitars twice it's price. And because we sell direct to you, you can own a custom-made, hand-built guitar without the custom-made, hand-built price. With hundreds of Custom Shop options, you can order your DC6 exactly the way you want it, and be the proud owner of a totally unique instrument that will last a lifetime.

Carvin uses premium hand-selected genuine mahogany for the body and the neck, which adds warmth and accentuates the low and mid-range tone of the instrument. Mahogany has always been considered a classic tone wood, and is denser and heavier than alder, but lighter than maple. The DC6 comes standard with a beautifully sculpted top of the finest bookmatched AAAA curly flamed maple with Carvin's natural body binding and matching headstock. Bookmatched AAAA quilted maple and flamed koa tops are also offered. Carvin's exclusive deep-triple step finishing process creates a 3-dimensional depth to the figure of the flamed or quilted top. Only the maple top is finished; the back of the guitar and neck are finished in clear gloss, allowing the natural mahogany to show through. Clear satin and tung-oil finishes are offered on the back of the neck only or on the entire instrument. The matching headstock is adorned with a 24K gold plated Carvin logo, for just the right touch of class.

Set Neck Design
DC6 set neck design
The mahogany set-neck of the DC6 features Carvin's "Rapid Play" low action neck, which assures effortless playability throughout the entire fingerboard, while the sleek set-in neck and lower body cutout allow easy uninhibited access at the 22nd fret. Where most set-in neck guitars have a cumbersome heel and don't set into the body any further than the fingerboard, the DC6 guitar has a minimal heel design for improved access to all frets, and the neck sets deep into the body and extends underneath the neck pickup for greater stability and sustain over any other double-cut set-in neck guitar. The standard 25" scale, 14" radius fingerboard is ebony with genuine abalone dot inlays, and other fingerboard woods, such as rosewood, maple and birdseye maple are available. You also can choose from an assortment of inlays made from genuine abalone or mother-of-pearl, in dots, diamonds, blocks or our new Signature inlays. Standard frets are medium-jumbo nickel, with stainless steel, jumbo and low-wide frets optional.

Carvin's innovative "M" bridge is standard, with fully-adjustable tune-o-matic bridge and strings fed through the body for additional sustain, and we also offer the "S" bridge, which is the classic tune-o-matic/stoptail design. You can select a Wilkinson tremolo, or a genuine Floyd Rose tremolo, with or without locking nut. Premium Carvin locking tuners with a 19:1 ratio ensure your DC6 will stay in tune, regardless of your bridge selection or playing style. Hardware is chrome, with black or gold hardware optional.

Electronics consist of a single volume and tone control, with a 3-way pickup. The tone control doubles as a push/pull coil splitter, which doubles the effect range of the pickups. Carvin's standard classic C22 humbuckers are custom wound with vintage plain enamel wire which helps bring out the harmonically rich tone and sustain of this fine instrument. For added warmth, try Carvin's new S22 Series metal covered pickups. You can also choose from Carvin's M22 Series or Holdsworth H22 Series pickups. Standard pickups have black coils and bezels, but any combination of black or cream coils and bezels are available.

The DC6 is made in the USA at Carvin's Custom Shop in San Diego, California.
