Hi welcome to the auction for my 91 Golf Gti

The car is an 8v, and is the big bumper version

It has covered 187,000 miles, if you have never owned a golf before then please dont let this put you off this car still drives superbly well for a car of its age and mileage.

I bought the car last summer, i had the intention of doing it up bit by bit but still use it as my daily driver back and forth to work. Unfortunatly, I've had to change jobs, and now work longer hours and travel alot further than i was before, so needed something newer with a little less mileage.

I had started to use it to commute, but the mileage was shooting up on the car so i took it off the road.

The car has tax til the end of this month and mot til the 3rd of march.

Not long after i had the car i carried out a full service on the car including replacement of the timing belt kit, its also had a new centre section and back box. I have receipts to prove this.

The car is fitted with 15inch bbs replica alloys in oustanding condition, no kerb marks and the chrome is in excellent condition. Three of the tyres are in excellent condition and one of them is in good condition, but obviously not illegal.

The car is slammed on coilovers and has been since i owned it, the wheels do rub a little on full lock. I am led to believe that the coilovers on the car are no older than 2 years.

The car has crystal clear lamps fitted in excellent condition.

The car is also fitted with aluminium heater and fan controls.

As with any car of this age it does have a few problems.

The drivers side front and passenger rear door handles are broken, these are cheap enough to buy on ebay.

The sunroof seal has perished and does leak a lil water when it rains heavy or is parked in a certain way.

There are dents in the drivers door and the passenger side door, these were already there when i bought the vehicle.

The passenger side window does not work, i think its the regulator, I've never got around to fixing it.

the boot does not lock.

There are a few patches of rust on the back panel and a couple of spots on the bonnet.

Even so this car is mechanically sound. And drives really well, the engine still has plenty of grunt and pulls really well for a car that has covered this mileage.

I've been as honest about the car, and understand there are a few problems with the car, thats why i have put the car up for such a low starting price, i dont have anywhere to keep it so i need the car gone before the mot runs out. If the car does not sell i may consider breaking it, but think it would be such a waste, with a little TLC this car would be great.
