I purchased the Signa Drive A few weeks ago and I am very pleased with the sounds I'm getting out of it. The tone is very clear and articulate with great sustain and warmth, yet cleans up well with the turn of your guitar volume. A great all-purpose overdrive pedal in the vein of the TS types. The controls are very responsive and every way you turn them produces a great tone. If you are unhappy with your overdrive I recommend this even over the popular modified TS types. But don't expect to see mine on eBay. It's staying with me!
Definitley the best OD I've ever used. Im so glad I finally got a hold of one. Your guitar will sound like butter with this. I easily got Eric Johnson-esque tones with it. As with all Cmatmods pedals, the build quality is second to none. If you see it for a good price, get it, just get it. Easily a worthy rival to the OCD or a Zendrive, if not better.

Well I am from the camp that did not really take to this pedal. I like to stack open and dynamic overdrives and I felt the Signa Drive to was a bit too "closed" and a bit dark for my tastes. However, please note that CMATMODS make some fantastic pedals that I really such as the Signa Comp and others. As a matter of fact, I think their compressors are the best out there as I have tried; Keely (2 and 4), Barber, Stymon, JHS, Wampler, Maxon, etc and IMHO the Signa is simply the best. Also note there are many folks that think the Signa Drive is great. So give this pedal a whirl depedning upon what you are looking for. Very Nice solid build quality.
well truthfully, running this pedal at 9-volts i find it to be stiff, harsh sounding with no body what so ever! it lacks sufficient low end and has no even order harmonics! however then running this pedal @ 18-volts it seemed to come to life, plenty of headroom and very tone-evolving through the gain spectrum, with greater and richer harmonics! the toggle switch then adds nice tonal options, especially the 2 upper positions for a cleaner gain flavor! a very nice weapon for traditional blues playing, but still not exactly amp like sounding like the fulltone ocd version 3!!!
Wow, what a great pedal! I am very pleased with sounds available and the beautiful build quality, not to mention the price! I've been through many pedals and find most harsh sounding, perhaps "fizzy', or have an annoying fizz-like edge, while decaying. This is well designed, beautifully built and the perfect size for a pedal with a great variety of sounds! The tone control is very functional as well. I like the fact that there is a socket for the IC, which allows for a change in Op amp. Chad has done a marvelous job of creating a beautiful, functional and practical pedal. Thanks for helping in that quest for good tone!
