I own this camera and the Ixus 70. My overall rating is excellent. What I like: The build quality is great, made in Japan, feels like a quality camera The 3" screen is fantastic, large, clear bright 6MP is plenty Takes great pictures Compact, easy to carry anywhere An eBay price of £50 - £60 in Q1 2010 compares favourably with the new price of current models and I don't want / need more MP What could be better: In general, a little more manual control would be good. Ideally I'd like A P and S modes. Image stabilization would be the icing on the cake Audio volume on playback of video recordings seems a little low to me compared to the Ixus 70.
I used to own a canon s3 bridge camera and before that the canon 400d slr camera. I did not at all get on with the slr camer just didnt work for me but the canon S3 worked like a dream, so after losing my S3 camera a while ago due to being made homeless i needed to buy i resonable camera for a very reasonable price. I knew straight the way that I wanted a canon and nothing else. Currys tried to sell me a Fuji but their lens system is awful to say the least. The canon lens is far superior to anything out there and so due to limted budget i ended up going for the canon ixus 65, 3inch screen which is beautiful and even though no viewfinder you tend not to miss it that much on a compact camera anyways. The end product assuming you know what you are doing is just as spectacular as if you had gone out and bought a high end slr. Highly recommend canon specially if looking for a compact but be warned dont buy a compact camera above 6mp unless is the sx series as the earlier series the sensor couldnt really pick up more than 6mp without interpolating so is kinda pointless.Read full review
the camera is excellent i bought it as ixus 65 with the photo on ebay showing the ixus 65 the book of instuctions that was with it was for a power shot sd630 a totally different camera so i have no reference guide being it is canon camera i cant get one any where as they only surply them with the camera i have no problem with the camera discription but its as the photo on ebay i bought i as a present and was disappointed with wrong user guide

IXUS65 SD60 is a lovely camera. I bought this o attempt repair. I was able to repair it. My own IXUS65 lens was destroyed when I dropped it.
